The World Cricketers’ Association President Lisa Sthalekar, and fellow board members Sana Mir and Cecelia Joyce have been named in the inaugural cricexec Women’s Power 50.

Australia – The World Cricketers’ Association (WCA) today congratulates President Lisa Sthalekar, and Board Members Sana Mir and Cecelia Joyce after they were named in the cricexec Women’s Power 50 recognising their leadership and ongoing contributions to strengthening the collective voice of players.

The list recognises women shaping the business and future direction of cricket globally. For WCA, the recognition also reflects the important role that current and former players continue to play in advocating for change across the professional game.

“We’re proud to see Lisa, Sana and Cecelia recognised for the leadership and perspective they bring to the global game,” said Tom Moffat, CEO of the WCA.

“Each has made a significant contribution to cricket, both throughout their own playing careers, and through their ongoing work on behalf of players globally. Through their long-term leadership within WCA and its members, they have helped strengthen the collective voice of players, ensuring that players remain at the heart of the conversations and decisions shaping cricket’s future.

“Much of that work happens quietly, and without personal reward. Their commitment has helped improve standards, protections and opportunities for players around the world, helping build a stronger future for both the game and the generations of players to follow. Their recognition is thoroughly deserved.”

WCA President Lisa Sthalekar said:

“As the women’s game and the wider cricket landscape continues to evolve, greater alignment, stronger partnerships and modern frameworks are needed to help the game realise its full potential. Players have an important role to play in shaping that future, and it’s vital they have a genuine voice in the decisions that affect them and our game.

“I’m grateful to be recognised alongside Sana and Cecelia, who have each made an enormous contribution to cricket and to players around the world, and are both so deserving of this recognition. I’m also proud of the work WCA continues to do to strengthen the collective voice of players and help shape a better future for our game.”
