WHAT WE DO

WCA benefits from the expertise and collaboration of its member players’ associations. It operates in a number of different areas and offers a range of services to both its member players’ associations and the collective of players it represents.

To be recognised and respected as the global representative body of all professional cricketers, past and present, around the world. To represent the views and interests of the collective of these cricketers, support our member players’ associations, and make a positive contribution to the game.

WCA is the world players’ body in cricket. Established (as FICA) in 1998, WCA is a democratic player-driven organisation that brings together the world’s ‘organised’ professional cricketers under an international body which focuses on matters that affect the players collectively, and the global game. Players who are affiliated to WCA are, by extension, also guaranteed the support of the other players and players’ associations in other countries. We care about:

Players: Advocating for, supporting, and providing world class services to players at global level

Players’ Associations: Enabling and empowering players’ associations around the world

The Game: Positively influencing the direction of the global game

Optimising Commercial Value: for players and powering the player movement

The WCA exists for players and we are player-centric in everything we do. We work hard to be united, respected and valued by all players, our member players’ associations, and cricket’s other key stakeholders. We believe in both inclusivity and diversity.
